Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare... We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.. We have abused power and called it politics... We have coveted our neighbour's possessions and called it ambition.. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honoured values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free.. Amen!'

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over both our nations and wholeheartedly become our desire for our North American Continent.

Ronald Reagan on Socialized Health Care

Pres. Reagan saw what was coming long before we even knew what was in the works. Here he is warning people in 1961 not to allow this to come up. It's a shame where we've come in 49 yrs. !

The Coming of Spring

I love this time of year. As the snow melts, new life springs up with promises of things to come. Here are pictures of evidence of Spring coming to our area.

The 1st clue came with the snow still on the
ground, but temperatures warming up.

As the snow receded & the temps climbed,
I could hang my wash out on the line once again.

Once the snow was gone, we could see the damage from last month's blizzard.

Clean up time!

The strangest most wonderful surprise was finding spinach under the hot box that we had planted last fall ready to eat!

Then last Sunday, the day after Spring arrived, I spotted this tree right outside my Sunday school class just about to bloom.

I Need to Ask

Is there anyone who looks at this blog who is not my friend on Facebook? If you aren't a Facebook friend of mine, would you please leave me a comment using one of the options there. I am thinking of changing the format of this blog which would include fewer pictures. Thank you for your cooperation, I really appreciate it!

Casting Crowns Concert

My sister, Jacque, won tickets to see the Casting Crowns concert & asked if I wanted to go with her. I was so excited to go not only to see the concert but also to spend time with my sis. We had such a good time! And the concert ended up being more of a time of worship - that's the best kind! So here are some of the pictures:

Caleb Chapman (Steven Curtis Chapman's oldest son) & his brother Will opened the concert.
He is quite an artist. He talked about his sister's death which was the inspiration for their last song.

Kutless was next.

Casting Crowns was so good!

Just being casual.

The concert came to an end way too fast!

In Coming Blizzard

We knew a big snow storm was headed our way, so I took pictures as it began. Here are a few of those.

You can still see a bit of the grass.
By evening, the snow covered everything.
But the snow still kept coming.
I loved how the snow was blanketing trees & bushes.
It was beautiful!

That night, I helped Scott shovel so that he could get out to go to work. It took us an hour to shovel our driveway. That was 4am, & we already had had a good 12 - 15"! As it turned out, his boss told him not to come in, because unless he had a 4-wheeler, it would be too dangerous.
