I Made It!

I arrived safely in Cairo Saturday afternoon.  I adjusted rather well to jet lag, I really didn't have it.  Sunday Sarah, her husband John, & I were invited to a friend's house for Thanksgiving dinner.  We had a great time & great food . . . lots of it!!!  Boy was it good!  She sent us home with most of it.  I went with Sarah to the doctors last night, but the doctor said everything is the same.  Poor Sarah, she's sooo ready to go!  But she wants to do it naturally, so she'll hang in there.  Its not uncommon for mothers to be in this country to schedule a c-section if you go past a due date.  I posted a picture of her the night I arrived. I wasn't sure she'd last so I got it before it was too late.

Hopefully, soon, baby Issac's arrival.

September/October's Splash of Color

Before this season is over, I wanted to show you these random fall photos.

Down the farm lane behind our house:

A flower along that farm lane.

This brilliant red tree is just outside my Sunday school room.

This beautiful scene is at the end of my country road.
Beautiful sunset!
I love the way the light shines thru this one.

This tree was multi-colored so I just had to take its picture.
This lone tree stood out against the green background.

This one was vibrant when the sun shone on it!

Off I Go . . .

I can't believe that it is November already, let alone the 12th!  Craziness!  I have less than 2 weeks before I "leave on a jet plane" for Cairo to see the birth of my 1st granddaughter.  My guys will be batching it while I'm gone.  I have mixed emotions about it.  I'm thrilled to be able to fly out to be with Sarah, but at the same time I'm not going to be here to make Christmas special.  The guys have assured me though that they have everything under control.  I do know one thing it will be very hard to get on that plane to come home.  My husband was so sweet.  He says grand-babies aren't born everyday into our family, this is a special time, so go & enjoy! So I have the clearance to go.  I will be taking my camera of course! & hopefully keep you all updated.  Till then . . .
