2010 Blizzard - February 20th

The next morning we awoke to an absolutely breath-taking scene! We ended up with some where around 21" by the time that storm was done! So of course I took plenty of pictures. Here are a few:

The snow was so wet that it stuck to the clothes line. This is why we lost our power. The power lines couldn't handle the weight.

Yes, there is a car buried under there some where. Notice the snow is up to the top of the tires.

These guys are cleaning up an additional 8 - 10" that had fallen since Scott & I shoveled the night before.

The boys having fun!
They had blast all day.

The scene across the hill from us. It looks like a puzzle. As you can see the sun began to come out.

Scott shoveling the front walk. Notice that the snow goes up to his knees & that's the next step down!

Our neighbor's house across the street. It was so pretty when the snow was fresh. I wish it would stay that way!

Our backyard as the sun was setting. It was such an enchanted scene!

Night time was a new experience without electricity. We had to learn to do things by candle light, but at least we had a gas fireplace to keep us warm!

One thing we enjoyed was making hot cocoa & playing board games by candle light. We actually could see especially with the alabaster candles Sarah got us from Egypt! Thanks Sarah!

The snow WAS beautiful when it was freshly fallen!! But again it incapacitated so many people!

It doesn't take long before it gets dirty & ugly does it?
