Yesterday we came home to a house filled with smoke! Someone had left something on the burner and forgot to turn it off. It stunk real bad!!! Thank you Lord that You spared us our house!!! Praise You Lord!

Our oven (not stove top) is veeeryy easy to leave on. We used to do it all the time...for days. I would go to heat it up and it would be on. And we would think, "uh, when was the last time we cooked?" And then yes, we would realize it has been on for days. Scary..not to mention how much that probbably cost us. We used to do it all the time. Now we have trained ourselves to turn it off as soon as the stuff comes out. Don't know what it is about it...as we never had that problem with any other oven.
Glad your house is in one (uncharred) peice. My heart would fail if it burned.
