At the beginning of the month, we made what probably will be our last visit to my sister's place in Louisville. She & the girls will be moving soon to Kansas City to be with her husband. On our way there, we kept seeing rods going by. My sister explained that the National Antique Car Show was happening there in town that same weekend. So they were heading to the same place that we were!

Thursday - Driving Around
Since it was raining, my sister took us on a drive around to see the different homes in Louisville.
Some are quite big!
And their communities have small lakes and golf courses attached.
Now there was a new community that was a town unto itself called Norton Commons. It was a quaint place with some of the homes that looked like you would find at the beach.
They had homes of various sizes, as well as apartments to live in. The yards were very well kept, some of the streets were lined in beautiful flowers.
Friday - Huber's Farm
Friday we headed up to Indiana to Huber's farm. It's their equivalence to our Trax Farm only flat.
We enjoyed visiting their market as well as their knick-knack shop.
After we picked up some corn, peaches, & Lodi apples, we headed over to their restaurant for a midday meal. The restaurant overlooks a pond.
After we ate we walked along the pond and then headed over to their water garden.
What a serene place to take a rest with beautiful flowers & ducks that were everywhere.

Friday Eve/Saturday Morning - Beth Moore
I had the privilege Friday evening to go with my sister to a Beth Moore conference. It was wonderful! It was being held at Southeast Christian Church, nick-named "Six Flags over Jesus" because it is so huge. We got there 2 hours early, but it wasn't early enough. We had to stand outside, but at least we were the 1st ones in line!
I was surprised to find out that Louisville was actually hosting Beth there at the church. It was being simulcast to many other churches all over the US. Travis Cottrell, who travels with her, lead the worship & it was fabulous! And Beth Moore is a spunky speaker who pulls you in to her teachings with wonderful stories that have you laughing and/or crying at the same time. This picture of her is blurry because they wouldn't allow any camera flashes. We had such a great & I got to meet some of my sister's wonderful friends.
Yes, there is 3 tiers of seats you see in those pictures!
I'm sorry the one is blurry.

Saturday - Downtown Louisville
Later that day, we headed in to town to walk along the river. We checked out the park.
Then we headed down to check out the Belle of Louisville and of course there were some rods parked there.
Then we drove around the town for a bit.
The next stop on the way back to Vicki's was Scott's old homestead and the elementary school he went to.
The school is now a municipal building or a library, I can't remember which. We had a full day & were glad to get back & fix dinner & hit the sack. Tomorrow we head home.

On our way back to Vicki's, we stopped at Cherokee Park. It had a pretty little stream meandering through it. The boys & Annalise had a good time splashing their feet around in it. Scott said that when he was a little boy, he used to come to this park.
